Who processes your data?

Contact form

If you complete the contact form, we receive your name, your e-mail address and your message. We use these solely to answer your question. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form. Apart from the board and our e-mail service, we share this data with no one.

DNA request form

The DNA request form processes details of the horse (name, UELN, pedigree) and of the applicant (name, address, e-mail address). These are needed to submit the request to the laboratory — Zoolyx for Belgium and the Netherlands, Labeo for France. Without them the laboratory cannot carry out the analysis. Legal basis: performance of the contract.

Visitor statistics, without cookies

We count on our own server how many people view which page. We place no cookies whatsoever and store no identifier on your device. Your IP address is never stored: using a key that changes daily it is turned into an irreversible code, purely to count a visitor once per day. The country lookup also happens on our own server, without any external service. No consent is required for this and nothing is sent to third parties.

Meta pixel — only with your consent

If you give consent, the Meta pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd is loaded. It places the cookies _fbp and _fbc and tells Meta which pages you view, so we can measure which adverts on Facebook and Instagram bring visitors. Without consent this script is not loaded and those cookies are not placed. You can change your choice below at any time; if you withdraw consent, the pixel stops immediately for subsequent pages. Data already held by Meta can be deleted through Meta itself.

Transfers outside the European Union

Meta may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States. For this Meta relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. If you do not consent to the Meta pixel, no data is sent to Meta through this site.

How long do we keep data?

Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as your question is open and for at most two years afterwards. DNA requests are kept for as long as studbook administration requires. Visitor statistics can no longer be traced to a person after conversion and are kept as figures. Your consent choice is stored in your own browser, not on our server.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, erase and transfer your data, and to object to the processing. You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not invalidate processing carried out before the withdrawal. Send your request to the e-mail address in our contact details — we respond within 30 days.

Questions or a complaint

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority. If you live in the Netherlands or France, you can turn to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens and the CNIL respectively.
